Im running on a Vista Home Premium, and i have 288gb of memory. First of all, you might of have surfed the web too much, or watch youtube videos too much, or flash sites etc. you get the point. It is because when yousurf the web, i belive the browser downloads a littlebit of kilobyte into your computer files. So all you have to do is run disc cleanup, and clean up your files. :)

Apparently, everything you have viewed on the Internet are saved in the 'Temporary Internet Files' and 'Temp'. These folders hold the history of everything you viewed in the past days, and since you surf the web a lot it will store more web pages. But eventually, these pages will be automatically deleted within 3 days. Windows Vista, does not have anything to do with the consumption of memory.

Lots of temporary files. I am not familiar with Vista, but open Internet Explorer go to Tools--> Internet Options...--> General--> Delete Files...--> Mark a check in the "delete all offline files" box--> OK

Did u mean the harddisk storage? Check if any archive or logging function are activated, this will record all transactions in your PC and occupy many storage space.

I assume u r referring to hard disk drive memory, what u r seeing is nothing to worry abt, its irrelevant. you should be more concerned abt the ram memory on ur computer. Vista requires atleast 1GB of memeory ram to run efficiently, If ur computer dont have atleast 1GB of ram memory, then bring ur memory up to atleast 1GB, would be worth spending around $30-$40
