I have a ford escort when you hit the brake and clutch it dies you have to restart it i've had it in the shop 3 time and still is not fix anyone has any idea what could be making it do this

Mine was the idle control valve. maybe you should take it to Tires Plus They fixed mine.

That's kind of weird,however if I had to guess without looking at your car I would look at the switch that is on the clutch pedal,most standards have to have the clutch pedal pushed in to start them.That's really the only thing that makes sense to me.Good luck to you.

goto the front of the car.. look at the emblem.. they have the problem circled right there in the front...

seriously.. your clutch cable might not be putting the clutch all the way on, have the linkage checked :O
