It can be dangerous, but so can going to work. Every day, when you leave the house there are chances that you will be hurt. You could be run over, a tree could fall on you, you could be involved in an auto accident. It's a choice you have to make. Everything in life is dangerous to some extent.
People try to say it's a pedophile utopia or a place for stalkers to find prey. Perhaps it is, but are not coffee shops, stores, and social events also places for this to occur? Can you not turn on the news tonight and be guaranteed tohear at least one story of a victim of stalking or pedophila that occured and isn't related to myspace? You can.
There's danger in all aspects of life. The most you can do is keep a track of what you do, and who people are reacting to it. If something on myspace is happening to you, quit myspace. If nothing is happening to you, congratulations you're one of the many-and I stress many- people who use myspace without being harrassed.
The final choice to use it is up to you, and you alone.

Myspace isn't dangerous, you only add friends, family and classmates instead making friends, it's great way to keep in touch with your friends. Also too many fake celebrities or artists on myspace, if you think is fake, don't accept and alway deny them.

NO... I dont beleive it's bad.. it is if you dont protect yourself, dont give yout personal info like your home address or phone #.. but it' slike e-mail... if you look for people you know from HS or college.. ti's fine... you can block others hfrom adding you, or seeing your page if they aren't on your friend nlist... so people you don't want to see you can't... there are precautions you can take... message me if oyu want more details... I have been myspacing for 4 years now and love it... I never meet anyone I meet online... I am a 24 year old female... I'm very very careful... but I highly recomend it...

Yep, too many pedophiles and other sickos. I have an 11 year old son, and he is not allowed on myspace. Plus, whenever he uses the computer, either my husband or myself are in the same room with him.

Not really. You can set your profile settings to private. It's what people choose to post up there or add people that they don't know which makes it dangerous.

its pedophile utopia
creepy
and I hate myspace. the ads are annoying and it is crowded with pre-teens. and it's just turning into a huge corporation. I've deleted my account long ago.
And people are addicted to it. It's like heroine now. People should go to rehab for it.

No, unless you want It to be.... All you need to simply do Is make you account private. And only let people you want to be your friends be you friends. That lets no one else learn anything about you, but you and your friends.
