How bad is a misdemeanor 4 count in ohio. This was a domestic count...?

I got into a fight with my girlfriend (verbal) and she threatend to call the cops knowingly i am a firefighter. I pulled the phone off the wall while she dialed 911 and they charged me with a misdemeanor 4 domestic violence threat of violence. How bad is that? Also whats worse a misdemeanor 1 or 4 how does the scale work?

I am in no means a wife beater or anything in that nature. My job in life is to help people. I was taken advantage of and made a bad decision at the time. Your right my actions dont reflect the life i portray. But i just want to be a good man and humanitarian. So all the man haters out there i feel bad for what you went through to get that way, I really am not a bad human.. An M4 Domestic Violence applies to threats of harm, not actual harm. Your charge should have wording to that effect.
A Fourth Degree Misdemeanor carries a maximum penalty of 30 days in jail and a $250.00 fine.

Of course, it is not as serious as an M1 Domestic Violence Assault. But it is still a Domestic Violence, a conviction will mean you have been convicted of Domestic Violence and everything that goes along with that will apply.

For that charge to apply your words or actions would have to make her feel she was in danger of you causing her physical harm. If you ripped the phone off the wall to prevent her from calling for help, it is arguable she felt her safety was in danger at that point.

First, don't blame the media - they just reported what they were given by election officials. Second, I checked the website you listed, and find that its writer had to omit John Edwards' votes in order get Obama within single digits. It's still Clinton 54%, Obama 44%, and Edwards 2% - a double-digit margin for Clinton. There's really no change at all. Third, "double digit margin" is pretty much meaningless. It can mean a 10% margin or a 50%. There's really little significance between an 8% and a 10% win, because what really matters is how many delegates you receive, and in this case Clinton got 74, Obama 65.

I think you should be more concerned about this volatile relationship. If your girlfriend threatened to call the cops, you could have just walked out. Instead you chose to rip the phone off the wall. You have a problem, my man, and she probably does, too. Deal with it, or you've got more difficulties coming. You won't be able to stay a firefighter if you keep getting domestics.

Well if you are a firefighter you need to contact your union rep as soon as possiable because you don't want her putting a ppo on you if she does that they have to suspend you. I work in detroit as a cop and D/V is a bad subject when it comes to our line of work.
