I thought racism was a crime these days here in the U.K?? If so why are Yahoo allowing extremely racist questions & answers to be posted over in the Society & Culture section? Go check out some of the Q's & A's-they're disgusting!! Anyone agree??

i totally agree. it's a crime in the U.S too. i think that those people should be not allowed to be in Y! answers at all.

Unfortunately, since Yahoo Answers is based in Sunnyvale, California, USA, the laws of the United States of America, the State of California, the County of San Jose and the City of Sunnyvale apply, rather than the laws of the United Kingdom.
And, sadly, under American law, White supremacists are allowed to openly spew their bile on the internet! That's why a lot of European racists, skinheads and nazis use American based websites, to get around European anti racism and anti nazi laws.

The questions are there because either no one has reported them or Yahoo hasn't gotten around to deleting them. Just steer clear of that category - it just isn't worth the grief. Stay here in Polls and Surveys, we're all warm and fuzzy!

i believe theres always a way of disagreeing with out hurting soembodee, sadly i thenk others feelings are less important to some than letting their opinion be known, an even more sad, is when opinions are just the mask for trying to hurt soembodee..all i cen do is try to love others, an answer with love even when i disagree, maybe they just forgot how...â¥

yeh, i know what you mean... i've a number of issues with how this establishment is run... sometimes it really seems the patients run amok..
if you trawl through for a while.. there's quite a bit of not nice stuff... its why i hang out in P&S... not a bad bunch here at all!

Because they want someone to hear what they can't say in person and they think that it actually gives them a voice. They just sound dumb.
