All universities have a disabled student service or similar to it. If you can make an arrangement with them, I think you will have an easier time of securing a room of your own. But do this early since on-campus housing always gets full!

There may not be a private room at your college. In any case, you're gonna have to come up with a better reason for wanting one than cuz you have OCD. I have OCD. My roommate might think I'm weird, but that's embarrassment. Nothing to do with a medical reason. You can always try hiding it. I've got a laundry list of crap I do, but I've actually managed to hide it from my friends and even my wife for several years. It's a psychological thing, so I've managed to subvert those impulses just enough to allow me to do what I need to do in subtle ways. They just think I take a little bit longer than normal when walking or opening doors, etc. Or, you can try and get it treated. I just never felt it was enough of a problem to bother with since I learned to hide it.

When filling out the housing app, they will have a place for you to explain any medical problems simply put it there. They may also request a note from a Dr so justt send a copy of your proof

Get a note from your doctor and turn it into the administrator that assigns the rooms. No problem.

as azohawk said, contact housing for sure and find out who you need to talk to, and forms you might need filled out, etc.
At my school, you specify which type of room you want and pay accordingly, so there will be no surprises.
