Scot Mendelson (born February 21, 1969) is an American powerlifter. He is the current world record holder in the raw (unassisted) bench press and a former world record holder in the equipped (assisted) bench press. Mendelson pressed 1,008 pounds (457,6 kgs) on his first attempt at the Fit Expo at the 2006 Iron Man Bodybuilding contest on February 18, 2006. The event also included the APF Mendelson Bench Press Classic in Pasadena, California. Mendelson missed attempts two and three at 1,031 and 1,048 pounds respectively. Mendelson's effort topped the previous world record held by Gene Rychlak, who had held it at 1,005 pounds since November of 2004 (Rychlak reclaimed the record in December, 2006). Mendelson has also bench pressed 715 pounds raw (without a bench press shirt) in 2005. Although his specialty is the bench press, he claims to have also squatted over 1000 pounds

I can bench 135, 9 times and 155 once; get 170 half way up. Thats about it.

I know Brady Quinn benched 225 over 20 times I read. He is a strong quarterback

Larry allen can bench over 700 and squat of 900.

If you mean my record, then I've benched 110 pounds that is my record. I'd call that pretty good considering I weigh 105. I'm pretty sure the record is by some guy who did over 700. That's just crazily amazing!

Former QB Neil O'Donnell was known for benching 415lbs for 20 reps at a time during workouts. Certainly not the greatest amount ever, but very possibly the highest amount at the quarterback position.
