My husband and I have gone through a lot of rough financial times this past year. We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel with our new jobs, things are not 100% yet, but it is getting there. The problem with our jobs right now is that we don't see each other during the week. I go into work at 7am and leave at 6pm. He leaves at 3pm and gets home at around 11:30pm, and I am already asleep because I have to get up in the morning. I was thinking about making Saturday next week a "date day" with him. I want it to be a suprise and something that is a lot of fun. I want it to encompass most of the day but w/o us having to get up in the morning. We usually wake up around 11am-12pm on our days off because we stay up late during the nights. Any ideas anyone has as to a "fun filled" day would be great!

FYI: We live in Denver but neither of us are really outdoor type people.

Sounds like an excellent idea. Think back of something you guys really liked to do when you were dating but never get a chance to do now.

Oh come on, this is a no brainer!

There is NOTHING a guy likes or wants more than naked time with his wife! You want to make it special... you know what he likes, what really turns him on, give it to him! I guarantee it will be a day he thinks about for a long time to come and he will show you his appreciation for weeks!

...and its free! Unless of course you want to go buy a little something that he might like to spend some time taking off of you.

My wife and I used to be on similiar schedules. I worked days and she worked nights. I can't tell you what to do for your date. But I can tell you that you need to give up a couple hours of sleep from time to time to be with him. Have a hot bath or a hot meal waiting for him when he gets home at 11:30. And if it's the bath, why not slip into it with him? Whenever I waited up for my wife she made it worth my while, IF you know what I mean. :D

make an afternoon of it maybe go to a movie that you both will enjoy.then out to a nice resturant where they have a dance floor. then back home to cuddle on the sofa together maybe listening to romantic music by candle lite. let the spontanious sides of you and your hubby come out. mmmm i think you two will have a very nice and romantic date.then you both can look forward to the next date. good luck

Make a fancy meal TOGETHER. Leave the dishes till morning. Take a ride afterward, then talk and cuddle in bed...after that anything goes...but do it TOGETHER. Oh yeah, and turn off the phone all day.

Go to the bar and sit there and drink all afternoon and chat with each other. I always find that when I'm sitting at the bar with my husband that we talk about so many different things. Then go home and order pizza and figure out some "activities" to fill your evening with.

I just want to mention that when guys here 'date night' they hear 'fun then sex night'.

If that's not your intention, that's okay, just be careful how you present it so he won't get disappointed.
