Odds are ... YES.
However, DirectX 10 will depend mostly on the video adaptor that your XPS 410 comes with.
They don't all have the same one.
Once you know that then finding out if it is DX10 compatible is easy.

DirectX 10 comes with Windows Vista, so any system that has Vista will have it. However, in order to use it you need a DirectX 10 videocard.
The videocards listed for the XPS 410 are DirectX 9 cards I believe. The only DX10 video card I know of that's out is the Nvidia Geforce 8800. (Other 8 series cards will be DX10 and I'm sure ATI is working on a DX10 card but don't know if it's out yet.) Vista also includes a version of DirectX 9 for use with games that don't use DirectX 10.

no, acording to the dell website, the xps 410 either has a Geforce 7300 LE, 7600 GS, or a Radeon x1300 Pro
the only DX10 compatible NVIDIA video card available is the GeForce 8800 series
im not sure about ATI, but im sure the x1300 Pro wont be
so sorry, no dice
and the power supply isnt big enough to upgrade to the 8800 series

i'm unsure approximately Dell's coverage in the direction of chips with the Dell XPS 410, yet frequently, processor's are detachable. I even have heard cases of while manufacturers might bodily glue processor chips to the mobo, yet many times in basic terms in slender line laptop's and different form components. once you're taking away the processor, make certain to not harm any pins interior the technique.
