Never put aluminum foil in a microwave. It will start sparking and ruin your microwave and could possible start a fire.

If you are talking about leaving the food wrapped, these folks can be right. If you peel back the foil so it is flat, and keep it away from the sides of the oven, no harm will occur. I heat things in a pie pan all the time.

yes. Never put any type of metal in the microwave. It will spark and catch on fire. Use either waxed paper or a paper towel to cover your food.

Don't put any kind of aluminum in the microwave. This short circuits the machine and it will break. Use saran wrap instead.

Yeah it'll cause a bunch of sparks and catch on fire if you don't turn it off right away. It can also damage the microwave.
