I thought church groups do fund raisers for such trips. Well, Luke 14:28 says: "For example, who of YOU that wants to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense, to see if he has enough to complete it?"
If you can't cover your expenses, don't go. Just prepare better for the next time!

Talk to your pastor, priest, whatever. Ask them to put an announcement wherever that you are willing to do odd jobs for money for a mission trip. Stand in the back of church with a sign at the end of the mass that all the old people go to. Explain that the money they give you will go towards your mission trip, and I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you out.

Babysitting, pet-walking, housecleaning, lawn mowing (or snow shoveling, depending where you live). Set up a lemonade stand if weather permits. Sell your old stuff on e-bay. Ask your parents if you can have a yard sale with your family's unused items. Ask your parents or grandparents to match your earnings, for every dollar you earn, they could contribute a dollar each. That shows that you're motivated to help yourself rather than just asking for money.
