Totally clueless in what? Real life isn't binary, it's a spectrum. You aren't left or right, there are a host of possibilities. This is all due to most human's obsession with dichotomies. What if someone is a libertarian. Socially "liberal" (as you would say), yet fiscally "conservative" (as you would say). I think that "33% Totally Clueless" is probably the most clued in as they know that they shouldn't just assume all the values taken by the Democrats or the Republicans because it makes for a convenient label.
