I love the dark, I love being in closed in areas, and If you put those together I love being in the dark in closed areas but as I'm with someone.

I have the same problem, if you mean you can't be alone in the dark by yourself. It's not really common, but it is normal for some people. Everybody doesn't like being by themselves in the dark, especially younger children. They are afraid of the "monster" under their bed that turns out to be a sock or a pair of underware. That's not my reason, but that is the reason for many people. I just don't feel comfortable in that situation. I love the dark and all that, but I just can't be alone.

You are craving the feeling of security, a cozy snug feeling. this is likely due to being a hyper sensitive person. You need this feeling to self regulate. Self regulating is normal and we all self regulate or at least normal people do. If it takes being a c dark cozy place to self regulate then go for it.
