Sure there were parts of the war in Iraq that were mishandled. Mistakes were made. So what is the value of a mistake? Maybe we were unfortunate in our successes when we came to building this nation. We were overconfident and arrogant and so we underestimated our enemies. Sometimes I wonder to myself why there wasnt some sort of armed international conflict that was historically looked upon as a mistake. Something that could show people here who really wins in these things so that we know when it is appropriate to bring war against your neighbors. Maybe this was that thing that was for us, a lesson. Maybe it was time for us as a nation to really get our asses kicked.

dumb question. Saddam had the potential to put this country's economy in complete havock. True, there was a chance he would not, but I think Bush acted in our best interest. Have we lost a war I was not aware of? We lose soldiers, unfortunately, even during peacetime. I. for one, support them as much as possible. I write them, I send packages with items they might miss from America (though I have to be careful to not send material offensive to the country they are in). Were I not afflicted with cancer, I might be serving with them. My nephew is thinking of enlisting, Neither I nor any of my family ( to the best of my knowledge) has tried to talk him out of it.

If you had an inkling of what has been happening in the middle east in the last 100 years, and not just an anti Bush sense preprogrammed into you by the DNC, I might have some respect for your opinion. As it stands, I see you as nothing more than a simple minded fool led by Democrat talking points.

Take heart though. Some of those talking points are correct, not every conservative idea is correct. Too bad you don't have the ability to form those thoughts on your own.

Your question should read, " is fighting in Iraq, hanging Saddam and keeping the terrorists busy, worth the lose of life of our soldiers, or should we just sit back and wait for 911 part 2, then three, then four and so on as the sequels to car bombings and suicide bombings would be in the US?

In New York city, more people are murdered in one year, than died in one year in Iraq ( Military) Same for Philadelphia, Los Angele's and most major cities. More People are murdered than died in Iraq in one year.

What about the number of people that die daily in car wrecks nationwide??? That number is many more times the number killed in one year in Iraq, but we don't hear people wanting to ban cars, pull them off the road, park them because people are dying.

The bottom line is we either fight terrorism where they live, or they will bring the fight to us where we live. The first WTC was their local calling card. We didn't listen and they came back on 911. THAT got our attention, for a little while at least. Does America need a repeat to show what these cowards and killers are capable of???? Hey, they using kids now in their suicide bombings. Really a cultured bunch of folks don't you think?

in basic terms arguably a brutal dictator? some thing you probably did not determine into this equation is what number human deaths (extra often than not Muslim) have been led to via Saddam for the previous 20 years, and the threat that the deaths might proceed at X type consistent with month in the time of his existence, and that of his sons. you have a valid part to this situation; yet to be honest one might desire to verify out all aspects, so i'm taking part in the devil's propose.

Apparently. I certainly don't agree, but evidently the war-mongering extreme right wing in this country is more than happy to do all that to honor Saddam.

hey don't you get it yet all politicians lie and we will always be in debt ready to be bankrupt.
as for killing Saddam, that was the best thing for Iraq
the loss of 3000+ soldiers tragic, but to stabilize the middle east and get a US presence over there, good
California lost over 4000 people to car fatalities last year, how come we aren't getting the people out of their, for their own good and save Americans lives

Who said we are losing the war? There is a deficit, but the Dems made it worse by raising taxes. And Hussein was a genocidal dictator, so we are actually saving millions of innocent Iraqis from a terrible death they did not volunteer for. The military volunteered, so don't blame Bush for their death.

Iraq can run its own nation just fine without the help of the USA.

We got Saddam, so we won. It's time to go.

Saddam was hanged because his own people tried him, convicted him, and carried out the punishment. He was a murderous thug. Good riddance. And you have a value on life?
