Excellent question, not sure I like the way you worded it...but what the hay.

If China invades....we won't have to attack. But the unfolding events of that week will probably force China to attack us.

As you are well aware, China holds billions in US debt, they also hold billions in EU debt. We mearly have to force their hand, end game.

The current state of politics in China leads me to believe this will be a much debated, and deadly decision for all involved. The Chinese people are finally stepping into the world, and they like the taste. While they may be under a strict governmental rule. They are gaining in freedoms everyday. I do not think the majority will take kindly to stepping backwards 20 years.

China has much to offer every nation, developed and undeveloped. It would be a shame to see it make such a monumental mistake, as invading Taiwan.

But, since the dems pulled out of the "protection agreement" ala Jimmy Carter. The US is under no legal obligation to defend Taiwan. It won't make it any less immoral though.

Now you know that there are more republicans serving then liberals. Come on....you're a smart guy. You don't need to stoop to this level. this is way to easy to prove. Why would I go to Taiwan? Like you I've served, and I'm now too old.
