the left in most people. there is a rare condition called dextrocardia, a congenital anomaly where the heart is on the patient's right side, but it's functionally normal.

Actually most people think it is on the left side, but it is slightly shifted right, so, left center would be more accurate.

The heart is located in the centre of the chest with a slight tilt to the left.
