Think of what you will be like in 5 years. When I was love sick for some girl; my Dad would chase her away because her Dad was a cop and called an ambulance for me. He told them to send the cop the bill instead and said I could never be with her. Of course my Dad used to say that I was delusional. So, what's the point on believing she ever liked me anyway? I learned how to make my favorite treat; Chocolate Eclairs from scratch.....almost. I would mix the custard with store box pudding. The icing was made from using real cocoa but I would add almond extract to it. I'm pretty sure the icing was what made it unique and addictive. It wasn't as thick like most frosting are. I think I was around 13 at the time. Being love sick for someone at least for me had been an addiction. Don't replace it with another one. I made these treats for others in my family and not to get fat on from being depressed. There will be many others you will also be addicted to in your life too. Ask your parents, maybe they have some stories like this.

I've heard that having a rubber band around your wrist and snapping it when you think about them helps. It never did for me. I needed to be a new person. I got my hair cut and thought my life into different things. i began to volunteer and do things that felt good to me. I wish you all the luck in the world. It is very hard. You are not alone. all of us have been there, but that doesn't make it any easier. Just get through and make yourself a life.

Myself personally I try to preoccupy myself with friends and hobbies. It may be hard but everytime you find yourself thinking of that someone just change subject or write how you feel or what you are thinking of in a way that anyone can relate to or just make it work for you. Don't for get to remind yourself of why this person isn't worth your time and how much better you'll be without them.

If it has anything to do with an old flame, send your answers to me too. But a recent trip to my therapist, don't laugh, made me realize what is healthy. Private thoughts are healthy, sexual fantasies are healthy. Obsessive thoughts are not healthy, if they are making you drift into fantasy more than reality you should probably talk to someone. But if not, you aren't hurting anyone (are you :P) give your mind some exercise and enjoy.
