Try inserting the tampon applicator when you are having a heavier day. This will sound gross but you need to have some blood in the vagina in order to make it easier for the tampon to go in. Otherwise the vagina will be too dry and it'll hurt for the tampon to go in. So don't wipe the area at all before inserting the applicator. Instead wash your hands and relax. Try a Junior absorbency or Slender regular instead of regular and super. That might help. Also you'll need to relax. It's hard but try not to think to much about how the tampon is going in. Keep practicing. It took me a few tries before I could stop getting queasy about it.

I had the same problem too.I went through like half a box before I got the hang of it.Ok just breath, that was a big problem, I wasn't relaxed , so relax and breath, ok sit on the toilet normally with your legs spread, and it's best, if you bend over, and when you put it in, don't put it straight in cause that IS NOT how a womans body is made, slant it to where you are pointing it to the lower part of your back or the small of your back (same thing), then it should go swiftly, and after wards you won't feel a thing, if that doesn't work, get your mom to help you explain it a little more.

i just started using tampons if it hurts and it doesn't go in the right way it is because you are not putting it where it is supposed to go. you have to move it around a little until u feel that it can go in enough simple as that if u don't get it your first few tries thats ok because its all new its hard to get used to. here is a little tip though take it out every time you pee never leave it in for more then 12 hours because it could get stuck and give you the worst infection trust me i had a friend who did that she was out of school for weeks you might be thinking no school i like that but trust me school is way better then a tampon shoved up and stuck in ur vagina plus if it doesn't work out just use pads good luck =)

This may sound gross but it will help to just practice with your finger every once in a while. They hymen can actually stretch a lot before it breaks and you probably just need to stretch yours a little. Honestly though, even if you do break it, tampons are totally worth it, they are 1000 times better than pads. Once you start using them you will wonder how so many women can only use pads. I think most of them have never tried, because they are scared or something I don't know, but tampons are a godsend.

It's always scary putting it in the first time! Now hun you have to relax or it's not going to in easily. Also, you can try using different positions (Sitting on the toilet, squatting or standing) to see if it's more comfortable. Also, perhaps the size is too big for you. There are "light" ones and "teen" ones. Hope this helps! If all else fails, you dont have to start using a tampon now.

Keep trying. It does hurt the first few times. Be gentle with yourself and don't force it too much. Also try to relax as much as you can, take a few deep breaths before you try. You might also be angling it wrong...make sure to angle the applicator towards your lower back. This is the way the vagina slopes. If none of this works for you, I'd advise seeing your doctor. Your hymen (if you have it still) might be causing trouble.
Good luck!

Some people can't wear tampons because they are too small "down there," but you will probably get the hang of it. Sometimes it is easier to insert when you are standing up with long leg on the toilet...or even squatting. Also, try to aim toward the small of your back, not straight up. Good luck!

Well first of all you need to relax coz being uptight or scared makes the muscled in the vagina tense up and you will have LOTS & LOTS of trouble getting it in. You may find it easier to squat down when you are trying to make the path way easier and straighter. Take a deep breath relaz and push it in. It may not go straight in so you may need to tilt it backward a bit to follow the direction.

ye i remember going through my first time using one. if there is really no flow it will hurt more to put in u should really use a pad if its a light flow once the flow gets heavy it will not hurt as much and slide in better. if ur using the kind without the applicator i suggest u use one with an applicator it will slide in better. it might also help to put it in at an angle.
good luck=]

Well I believe it is suppose to hurt a little bit when you first start doing it. Are you sure you're putting it in right? But you should just look at the package it came in and if you see a number, call it. They should answer your questions. If you're a child/teenager, get your mom to help you.
