in 1979 globalisation was not really up for debate no matter what the circumstances. since the many things have occured that can be attributed to the big G but i supposeamerica has been stamping on the small guy for a long time. Globalisation is probably the same thing then. an attempt by the small guy to stop the big guy in his tracks

Globalization is another word for the multinational corporations taking over the world. This is most obvious in the World Trade Organization, which can make and enforce economic policy, and does not allow individual countries to pass trade legislation that protects their own industries or the environment. It allows the corporations to overrule any environmental protection legislation, or laws to protect labor; give people decent wages and decent working conditions. Globalization and the WTO are the worst, most dangerous thing to happen to Americans and people in other countries in decades, and nobody even knows what is going on. Americans are not the only people held hostage, it keeps the 3rd world poor and is working on making Americans live like people do in the 3rd world.

Globalization is the quest for a one world government. For America it means betraying the deal that the merchants had with labor since the great depression. It means that corporations can now search the world for the cheapest labor.
It means the end of the indepence and sovereignty of the USA.

Well then why did you put "Globalization" in your question?
