Same thing happend to my son whenever his fell off, I wouldn't worry about it just keep an eye on it cuz sometimes it can get infected, but if its just a little bit of blood id clean it with some alchole and should be fine.

Its quite normal for it to bleed a little bit. dont be to concerned. Just give it a gentle wipe with warm water to clean it and make sure to gently pat dry. It also helps to when giving him a little kick around without his nappy on, to put his legs and belly button lying in the sun to help dry it out.

Just keep it clean!!! Don't worry about a few drops of blood. Keep it really really clean and if it is still bleeding in a few days call the pediatrician and see what they say. Good luck -k-

A few drops of blood should stop in a matter of minutes.
If it is more than a few drops, or it does not stop bleeding within 1/2 hr., then call your Dr. to ask about it.

I think my daughter's did that too, so we just bathed it with cotton wool and cooled boiled water. If it starts getting sticky or stinky, get your health visitor to have a look, you may need antibiotic powders for it, but it should heal quite quickly :)

Congratulations on your new-born.

Unless it is severe bleeding, yes, it is totally normal.
