Use Dial or another anti-bacterial soap to bathe.
When you dry off, wipe your armpits with rubbing alcohol.
Use an antiperspirant, such as Secret or Degree.
The odor is due to bacteria, You are probably using a scented soap or body wash, which does not clean the body very well. The alcohol will kill the bacteria. The antiperspirant will stop you from sweating.

I tell you to get Certain Dri. You will never sweat from your underarms. Eliminates all odor. Has no smell. Has no residue so it does not stain your clothes at all. You put it on at night. Go to sleep. Wake up and take a shower. The residue of the deoderant is gone, but you don't sweat or smell at all for a couple of days. And when I say you don't sweat or smell I mean it. I go to the gym and my shirt gets soaked except for under the arms. That is how well it works.

I have had problems with excessive armpit sweating. The only thing that has worked well for me is Certain Dri. You put it on at night, and it supposedly closes your pores while you sleep. Sometimes it causes tingling and/or itching, but nothing major in my experience. Don't use it after a shower and especially not after shaving. You can buy it online, and I have seen it at Target and Wal-Mart.

It depends upon your body chemistry but if you avoid certain foods like onions, garlic, and all the spicy foods then it won't smell that bad. Let me tell you the smell is a big turn off but the armpit hair is the biggest turn ON for many men.

You might actually have a skin problem if that is happening to you after you take a bath.. you might want to go to the doctor about that , it really shouldnt be happening.
