I dont know if there is a rule of thumb
but parsley basil garlic plenty of tomato onion etc
& just taste test as you go a long & make it how you think its nice & tasty & yummy
thats what I do each time & its really never the same each time but always yummy

Fresh basil. If you can't get any fresh (usually available in grocery stores) try dried. Oregano is usually better dried, IMO, the oil from the fresh is usually a little irritating. I like just a little rosemary in mine, but that is not 'normal'.
