Um...for what? We have an excellent fighting force. We don't need a bunch of convicts to interfere with the trained military.

And the idiot who calls our military convicts - you make a very compelling argument for retro-active abortion. Regardless of what you think about this particular war, it is thanks to our military that you have the right to sit behind your keyboard and act like a total f*ing moron. A little gratitude would be appropriate. If it was up to *me*, people like *that* would be sent to Iraq. Let the terrorists use THEM for human sheilds.

As funny as it would be to see groups like the KKK and gang bangers tearing up the insurgency, no. Convicts should serve the rest of their sentences.

I don't think all convicts but we could ask some to volunteer and if they perform well get their freedom.

maybe the lower offenders...we could give them the option of being a soilder rather than go to jail...But sex offenders dont get this option

OMG, that would mean we arm them to the teeth and then train them to be even worse killers than they already are. I know this is going on but it is crazy that Rumsfeld started this program.
