No. If the fielder is beyond the boundary when he catches the ball it's a 6.

To be a fair catch, the fielder has to be within the field of play throughout the act of making the catch.

If he steps on or beyond the boundary, or any part of his person touches the ground on or beyond the boundary, then it's not out.

If the fielder steps over the boundary to catch the ball, or goes over it in the process of catching the ball the batter isn't out, it is a six.

BUT there is one circumstance where a ball hit over the boundary can be caught by a fielder and the batter would be out. That is if the fielder has his feet within the boundary, not touching it, and he leans over the rope (line or fence) to catch the ball. During the process of catching and bringing the ball under control the fielder cannot touch the boundary, or step over it, otherwise it would be a six.

If the ball is caught outside the rope, the batsman is not out and the batsman gets 6 points. However, when the catch is taken if the fielder is inside the rope and does not touch the rope when the catch is taken, the batsman will be out.

however, if both his feet are inside the boundary when the ball is caught, then the batsman is out.
