Would you enjoy an unusual restaurant with full bar, and lists of wines, beers and spirits from all over the world, that highlighted a menu full of exotic game and other meats (legally harvested elephant, lion, antelope, guinea pig, crocodile and alligator, etc., as well as bison and elk and wild boar) with equally unusual veggies and fruits, that would emphasize its ecentricity by featuring roast or grilled caribou on Christmas, rabbit dishes on Easter, barbecued hearts on Valentine's, horse roasts or steaks on Kentucky Derby day, and some kind of mystery Witches Stew on Halloween? There would also be a special menu item commemorating the animal of the current Chinese year (yes, including year of the rat).

Yes, Mr. (no name) 7th Answerer, I am quite serious.
[I forgot to add in my Q that among domestic meats I would include regional game specialties like appalachian squirrel and nutria (Louisiana swamp rat)]

In a big city, like New York, you're idea would work. If you choose any place other than an international (American) city, people won't be interested. Most Americans I know are opposed to exotic and eccentric foods. They tend to stay with beef, pork, and poultry. I would enjoy coming to a restaurant like that once, but I think the price would keep me from being a regular customer. Good Luck!

Personally, I'm extremely turned off by the idea. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm morally and opposed to the ideas of the foods that you've proposed . . . honestly, most people aren't crazy about the idea of eating horses, mystery meat, guinea pigs, or elephants. Just try explaining to your child that his pet or favorite animal is now his dinner. I think that the exotic idea is great, though . . . just not the foods . . . sorry! Good luck -- hope this helps you!

I think many of different nationalities would definitely be dining at this restaurant. Heck i would go, i love to try different types of food. Although on the real side. you would have to open up a restaurant in big cities like NYC or San Fran. a place with different Cultures and ethnicity. hope i answered your question !

interesting. What would you do when it's the year of the dragon? But I think all that exotic meats are pretty gross, way too exotic for me. And I have travel all over.

Yes, but I would never be able to afford to eat there. Your overhead would be so high the food would be to expensive.

No, it would be a bust. Some patrons would go, but not many. As Americans we are too queasy!
