Porn addiction is, indeed, real.

It's not the fact that he's enjoying porn often that makes him have an addiction- many normal people watch it very regularly (daily or more), and spend a lot of extra time devoted to discussing, buying, and just generally thinking about porn. That doesn't make them addicted- generally, addiction is defined as that which you can't function without, or that which is starting to take over your life (you start eschewing your social life and other necessary tasks).

But if he says he has a problem and needs help, then we can classify him as 'addicted'.

Might he be lying? Possibly. Some people do that in order to 'excuse' their behavior. But the perfectly legitimate answer to that is "Okay, we're going to get you help. But you need to understand that if you can't kick this thing, I'm laying down an ultimatum: no more us. Let's help you over your addiction for the sake of us." and then stick to your guns.

Start seeing a counselor to deal with his porn addiction. If he doesn't seem cooperative, then drop him.

Hope that helps.

no good to watch porn.

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog Porn Filter, you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.

Yes, the fact is he doesn't want to connect to anyone on a more emotional level. There isn't anything wrong with seeing a naked girl and enjoying what you see, thats natural. But to have a girlfriend there that you love and look at porn means he has a problem with himself and his sense of Pride. He doesn't get the same fuzzy warm feeling you do, or if he does he doesn't know how to handle it, or just refuses to handle it. So as long as he continues to fool himself into thinking that this is what he wants, your going to suffer. The fact is, its cheating. Plain and simple. He doesn't know how to see a female for more then that, so you might want to seriously think about going another path from this guy. I'd doudt suriously how well this guy treats you anyways.... porn "addiction" takes a lot out of a guy...
