I have found that I usually don't recognize people unless they have a cool avatar. By cool, I mean not the ones Yahoo offers you. There are some exceptions to that rule -- usually people like Kayboff or Susan that have taken the time to say something personal to me when they answer my questions. Something like "Hi, comet, I missed you last night. How are you".

LOL, no i just met you. i usually stick to what i think i know, and that is singles and dating...
which somehow i got one of those top contributors banners strewn across my pict...
