My question is...If your power button is located inside your laptop lid, how can you power on your laptop when your using and external keyboard and monitor without opening the laptop lid. My power button is located next to my laptops keyboard which cannot be accessed when the lid is closed. My external keyboard how a power button but only shuts off and not turns on. Anyone have any suggestions?

you need to set up your bios as well as the software for the power button on the keyboard to power on/off the laptop with the lid closed, but while lid is closed there is a switch built in that will automatically place you laptop into hibernation while lid is close.
So it might not ever work I am sorry to say unless you go into the inside of the laptop and short the switch which will damage your laptop.

You can change what happens when you close the lid, so the computer does not automatically go into hibernation (go to Control Panel--> Power Settings, and in there you can select a bunch of things). As for using the power button on the external keyboard, I don't think it is possible. The laptop can't communicate with the external keyboard, until the laptop is on.

Come on permit's be uncomplicated , except you have a distant to administration a working laptop or laptop there is not any way a working laptop or laptop might nicely be activate except the lid is up and push the potential button so some distance i don't understand of any remotes, some say there's a warm key on the keybroad it does not artwork
