I was on a site and hit a bunch of keys and the screen, background icons and everything are sideways. How do i fix this?

If possible, right click on the background, go to properties --> settings and enter any resolution other that the one you already have. Click apply then Ok, and if that doesn't work, re-start the pc, perhaps there is a possible mix-up with your settings.
