fast stride is better than long strides when sprinting. You cant your legs pumping fast. Also, you want to make sure that as your knee comes up and forward you PUNCH straight down past the outside of your thigh. Fist should come from up near your ear and straight down past the outside of that leg. You dont want your arms flying across the body. They should be ear to outside of leg and you really want to focus on an aggressive punch downward past the leg.

You should also make sure you are leaning forward at the start and focus on the aggressive arm action.

work on the shorter faster strides at the take off. You dont want big long strides, they are slow.

Bottom line. To run well you have to RUN HARD and practice at it. Your body will adapt and become more efficient the more you do it.

One technique that helped me at that awkward age when I was about to go from Middle School Running Back to High School Running Back was putting my arms straight out parallel with the ground and running in place trying to get my knees to touch my hands. This increased my balance and speed very quickly. Another thing that worked but was harder was trying to learn how to switch feet while skateboarding. Try kicking around with your weak leg for a while and you eventually will not have a weak leg.

you just run heel toe heel toe heel toe and so on and so forth. go at a good pace.......dont like run as if you were in a marathon!!!

running over all takes practice. a good diet is a great thing. plenty of water. and breathing excersises like breathing in through you nose and out through your mouth is good. dont breath with your diafram (or however you spell it) use your chest GOOD LUCK
