If so, what are you reasons for believing this?

Some very plausible answers and they make perfect sense to me. I am not a sceptic myself but I was wondering how the thin shield and space suits of the crew protected them for the fierce solar winds? Some people(skeptics) think that the rocket would need to be covered in a very thick armor of lead once they left the protection of the van alan belt.

Thanks dudes and dudetts. My next question in regards to the Moon landings will be... Do YOU believe that it was money well spent or not? See you then.

I've seen a lot of the "evidence" moon hoax believers put forth - none of it holds up under close (or often not very close!) scrutiny. The best website I've seen that debunks the moon hoaxers is:
http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html
It explains why that flag looked like it was waving, how shadows really work in photography, and all the other things hoaxers try to use to support their opinions.

Some people really do believe it. As conspiracies go, this one is pretty implausible. I think I may have heard less plausible conspiracies, but I would be hard pressed to name that at the moment.

Of course, quite a few of those who believe it are simply uninformed.

Jim mentions the flag. The flag had a wire running through the top so it would stick out. Otherwise it would drape lifelessly. If you wiggle a wire, whatever it is attached to wiggles. That is simple physics.

It would be one think to run the incredible risk of pulling off a single hoax like this, but to repeat it half a dozen times? Was that supposed to lend credibility to the hoax? NASA pulled a fast one, but the government couldn't keep the secret of the atom bomb or the Downing Street Memo or that Libby leaked Plame's name? Anyway, we had the technology to actually accomplish the feat. It is far easier to believe we did it than that there was this incredibly complex conspiracy to make believe we did what we could have done but what, lacked the courage? No way. Neil Armstrong, for one, would never sit still for something like that. If he had not gone to the moon, there is no way he would have lied about it. Most of the others who went were honorable men who would never have put up with a lie like that.

Like I said, I think I heard a less plausible conspiriacy one time, years ago. But then again, maybe I didn't.

I do believe it was faked.
The reasons I don't believe man walked on moon is;

1. God only gave us dominion over the earth, not the heavens.
(Genesis 1.26) Man is given a limit to what he can dominate.

2. Columbia and Challenger both blew up telling me that NASA cannot make a rocket to not blow up, much less reach the moon.

3. If it was true, there would be absolute proof and there isn't, only the word of a few people. No doubt would exist for anyone if it had actually happened. We would somehow just know it, but the leak is out and it is because there was no moon landing.

4. We know the Holocaust was real because there are actual photos and films of the dead bodies. And men were hanged for it in Germany by the international community. There were confessions by SS and of others who were tried for crimes against humanity.

Pardon me, but seeing how this happened 40 odd years ago, do you believe right now that any of the Space Shuttle explosions were faked?

Well, how about in 40 years from today, probably some people will say that was, just like people who say the Holocaust wasn't real.

Then again, I never believed tornadoes and tsunamis were for real when I was young, just seemed like fairy tale stuff to me.

Guess we're even lol

I think there are two major reasons to believe that the moon landings were real. First, it is implausable that the thousands of NASA engineers and astronauts would keep quiet all this time if it were a fake. Secondly, we were in a race with the Soviet Union at the time and if we faked the moon landings they surely would have said something to discredit us.

Only really ignorant people believe the moon landings were faked.

Do you want to be one of them?

If not, look up the facts. Learn real things and don;t listen to people who do no know what they are talking about.

We beat Russia to the moon, right?
What if they got to the moon and there was no American flag?If they wanted world power, why didn't the speak up and show that America was a big fake? Even if it is?

Actually, those are all disproved with a little real science and information. You can find a whole list of them and why they are wrong at http://www.badastronomy.com .

Yes, it is possible to believe, the issues with the flag, it was blowing in the wind. theres a few i cant remeber off the top of my head, but its possible that we just simply had to beat the russians (i believe it was them) to the moon. at that time we were in a struggle for a world power and this ment that we were somewhat superior to others if we reached it first.
