Maybe we don't have the full story to give an honest answer, sounds like there's some important info missing. If it happened after sex, perhaps he doesn't feel his 'performance' is up to par, give him a self-esteem boost!

Yes be worried if he was picking....then he's into mind games. But my guess is he said it for a reason. You should ask him about it again....and if he insist it was a joke inform him that people dont just ask a question like that for no reason.
