why why the woe of war (alliteration)
it is a game where no sides score (metaphor, rhyme)

she lures us in with words so sweet (personification)
and warns us not of fire and heat (how war feels)

and not of screams and wails and cries (how war sounds)
not of the putrid smells and flies (how war smells)

etc etc.... is this too simplistic? see how you go finishing this one, give me another little stanza with a simile in it.

sonyack - there are a surprising number of people who have experienced war around us every day... they're going on around the world all the time.

War looks like oppurtunistic corporations raping the nations feeding the rich and killing the poor, the proud, the people all around you.

War tastes like hot metal ripping at a bloody lip filling your mouth with regret and anguish

War feels like a soft safe soothing sinful high back chair for a CEO somewhere making the means and sending the teens to the vile machine

War smells like crisping flesh that is a heartbeat away and maybe your own

War sounds like the screams of mothers everywhere that should never have to weep over the graves of their babies

Nobody knows enough about war to write a poem about it unless they have been in at least one. Your teacher should know this, so I assume he/she has not been in one, or he/she would know it.

Further, you have not asked for help. You have asked us to do your work for you. Tsk.
