I'm currently writing a series of stories dedicated to creating new takes on well-known supernatural beings. Characters like Dracula, Hecate, and the Wendigo are included. However, I am attempting to write a story about a spirit/ghost/demon that can control technology or electricity. Would anyone know a character fitting that description? Thanks!

Technically, spirits are electromagnetic. They have fields that show up on electromagnetic sensors. It's entirely possible that a spirit could influence today's technology. Since spirits have seen our "new-fangled" gadgets evolve into super computers, etc., they probably know more about them than the user does! Make a character/spirit search the internet to find their ancestors! Or make the spirit send Instant Messages to loved ones. I'm sure it would be an interesting read. Good luck!

Well, there are many who call upon the god Mercury or Hermes for anything to do with communication, which means computers, telephones, cellphones, faxes, etc.

I don't know of any off hand but if you're looking to create one, start with X-Men. There are variations on MANY themes there.

The Catholics have a female saint who is the patron saint of television. You could do something with her.
