Today at my high school I got into a discussion with some kids and I expressed my love for this country. Many people who heard me turned around and looked like they were ready to fight. Its one thing if I were in another country...but I was not. I was in America...

The girl sitting behind this classmate of mine cut us both off as were were talking about our heritages and asked “You want to be called an American with this evil president we have today?” she asked in a truly nasty tone. When I pronounced my love for this country in response many people turned around and look enraged. Some even were saying Bush is a terrorist. First of all, Bush is not a terrorist and they had no details to back up there opinions. Regardless of the present commander and chief I still love this country. I do, by the way, live in the liberal capital of the world-Los Angeles. That may explain it...Where ideas that are not completely liberal are surpressed.

You will have that, just be positive and state your opinion. Avoid any flipping off or anything like that, when it is done to you just smile. You know where you stand and that is all that counts.

Those kids are retarded. They should realize that America is the BEST.
This country is the best ever. Like think of all the good things President Bush has done. We have so many cool things. Like lots of money.
Not only that, Jesus loves us more than all the other countries! For example, look at the Middle East. The Muslim people can't even eat pig! Do they realize how deliscious BACON IS? Apparently not...
I'm so excited about Iraq! Killing lots of people to punish them for not being American is sweet. I can't wait till we get to do it to other countries!
Your friends are just really butt hurt. They forget that anal sex gets you a ticket to hell.
There's nothing wrong with what you've done! Keep doing it! Being emotional is much better than being rational about the very legal foundation that our country is actually founded upon! Seriously the first amendment was so 200+ years ago!

I love America MORE THAN YOU.
But I hate our government because:
1. The federal reserve owns our Gov't.
2. Every Pes. for the last 120 years were Scull and Bones members.
3. Secret societies such as the freemason's control policy.
4. The Constitution is completely ignored.
5. They have poluted our drinking water with enough fluoride to gag a magot in hopes to make us more brainwashable.
6. They are forcing us to accept National ID cards on May 11, 2008.
7. They perpetrated the attacks on 9/11/01 killing thousands of innocent people.
8. There are 190 countries in the world and 130 of them have American military bases (we are the new Rome)
9. Satan worshipers rule the country and sacrifice a human efigy to Molech at the Bohemian Grove every year. (Yes, Bush too - photos at infowars.com)
10. We are not free.
11. The AntiChrist will soon arise out of this country and "make war with the saints and overcome them".
12. The mainstreem media controls the information (we call them 'Gate Keepers')
13. We are doomed until you ZOMBIE's wake up or until Christ comes.
14. You Zombie's keep saying that the government is not evil, because "No one is that evil" and you are fools to look away from the truth.
-and then I would direct them all to watch the free google video's:
"Freedom to Fascism"
"Terrorstorm"
"The Road to Tyranny"
"9/11 revisited"
and
"Loose Change"

There is nothing wrong in belief in your country as media, written and verbal content within the community allows one to disbelieve in there custom and values of there country .Its starts in the home from generation to generation pride within themselves taught by parents involving there children in the community and allowing association and country's value .There is nothing wrong with not swearing an allegiance to the flag but embracing the value of the flag is better than swearing at it .Embrace your country's song in praise and enjoy being an America instead of listening to death and destruction that destroy a society .Within your discussion approach in a way that is not going to over whelm the person in conversation allowing conflict .Good luck

There is a huge difference between the two attitudes. I think because of the very-controversial policies made by the current government such as the mess in the meddle-east, many feel embarrassed. While others, try to say hey no this is not the truth.
You have the right to be bride of your country, despite it is difficult especially if you were living outside the United States.

Perhaps your classmates feel that there's not as much about America to be proud of these days, it's their right to express that. But it shouldn't necessarily interfere with loving their country.
My girlfriend and my brother both occasionally make decisions that embarrass me or that I'm not proud of. That doesn't mean I love them any less, nor that I unconditionally praise them and defend their behavior.
I want them to achieve their potentials and help solve the problems, just like the US.

Bush is what's wrong with American pride. How can you be prideful of a country with a leader who is not only an ignorant fool but complete embarrassment?

Pride in anything is a good thing, pride in yourself, your family, your school, your country....
But when pride turns into "..you shoulda kicked their butts..." it turns ugly. That's what got us into Iraq which we shouldn't have invaded. If we are really proud we shouldn't have to show how strong we are, just because we are.
