Alienware is really good, but really expensive. I've referred some friends to http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/Default.asp and had good luck with that site.

You might want to look into getting an iMac. They have a very fast start-up, good memory, and awesome for music, movies, podcasts, etc. More and more games are being designed for Macs, and with an Intel Proccessor, you can switch over to Windows if the need arises.

Ok contrary to popular opinion you don't have to worry about what name is on your tower.Compaq(HP by any other name),E-Machine,what ever. Its what is under the hood so to speak.Stay away from celeron processors,Pentiums are much better. at least 1gig of ram, more is better. If you are looking for a pc they have a rating system.1 to 5.All new software are coming out with the same rating system.for example-If your computer has a rating of 3.2 and a program has a rating 3.0 then your pc can handle it.The higher the rating the better the pc...good luck

My advice is to know how to build one. So you can change the hardware when there are new in the market. Those branded is hard to upgrade, or you had to upgrade to a new set every time a new part is out.

try getting toshiba. it great for people who love gaming. i have have it and it works well. and i suggest a laptop because they are faster than most computers with the big CPU and stuff. also you can search best buy, curciut city, or wal mart online for computers.
