Does anyone have a job in which you feel as though you're expected to wear high heels at work? And does anyone's job require her to wear heels? Just wondering.

I used to have a job that it was expected but not required. My feet hurt horribly. I wore high heels for about 10 years and then I quit the job. It took a year for my feet to get back to normal.

My office dresses nice, but I purposefully went out and got a nice pair of ballet shoe kittens. They are comfy and cute. I wear heels two days a week, the other days it's dress clogs or the ballet shoes.

I've never heard of it being expected except in the book "the devil wears prada".

Well, my wife is required to where high heels everyday, and she just complains and complains about it. always says that I am lucky cause I get to sit home and collect unemployment. I just tell her, that is what you get for being a dumb stripper. I mean, why is she complaining though, she gets to dance all day for work, she is not even on her feet, she is usually proped up on some guys lap, or swinging around on a pole. That sounds pretty easy to me.

Yeah I have a job that requires that. I find it annoying but I've gotten used to it over time. My boss also tells me to dress in women's clothing, and although I complain about it, I've found that beautiful dresses really do give my self-esteem a boost. However, I don't know if I can continue wearing the french maid outfit. However, he says that if I continue this I will get to be the regional assistant manager's assistant in no time!

No. In fact it is discouraged. They suggest comfortable sturdy shoes for safety.
