everything on my computer screen is so big, how do i format it to fit the screen

If you have a scroll mouse, hold down the CTRL key and roll the wheel backward to reduce the size of the image so it fits the screen.

If you want to change the resolution of the screen, which will also reduce/enlarge the image size, right click in any open area of the desk top screen, click on Properties in the menu that pops up, then click on Settings. In the window that pops up click on the Screen Resolution slider and move it to the right to reduce the size of the image and then click OK. Repeat this process until you find a resolution that you like.

Make it smaller. Usually this is done by changing the screen resolution. You can do this from System Preferences.

right click on the desktop, go to properties, select settings and change the screen resolution, that should do the trick.

Click on start.
go to the control panel.
click on appearances icon.
from here you can change the sizes of the icons on your desktop.

right click the mouse on a space on empty desk top, select properties, then settings, from there you should be able to figure it out
