writing a book on existenialism that otherwise everyday people
or people of unlikely backgrounds can relate to whenever I feel my philosophy is ready to reveal itself.I think what turns people away from philosophy is that many popular philosophers have this authoritative aura about them.I'm not looking as to so much simplify the essence of it,but to make it more understandable and appealing to the non-typical everyman. What do you think?

Adriana, that is exactly what I'm planning on doing.Since I myself am a pretty down to earth guy,I can relate to these people.I have an interest in artsy work, but I don't think existenialism was intent on pigeon-holing it that way.I Heart Huckabees helped it a little bit,but I still want to take it up a notch.I'm looking to emphasize the ideas, rather than discuss the labels, unless it is needed.I will probably be doing it semi-fictional like Nietzsche's Zarathustra, but I'm not sure. The idea is still very much in its embryonic stage.

Simply put, most people don't like to think. For this to work, which it could, you have to fool people into thinking it is something other than exisential philosophy - sugar coat it and make it something people will want to read.

Go for it. Just remember that there are hundreds if not thousands of books out there on existentialism so endeavor to be unique, explore new avenues of thought and yes please avoid the aura of authority. Good luck, I hope you are successful.
