What is the meaning of it. It is not common for sure, but I think the meaning is more important than the name. Not too bad, as a matter of fact I like it.

hmmm...is this an ethnic name? does it have some sort of special meaning to your husband??
I am guess by the way you stated "my husband is thinking of naming our son..." you are not overly found of the name yourself.

that is a strange name! no offense but i wouldn't name my child that because it isn't practical your child might get made fun of and it seems like you dont really like the name or you wouldn't be asking but if you dont tell him maybe that would be a good middle name but go for something more simple.

It's definately an interesting name, I'm guessing it's from his heritage. I would call him Eli for short

It may be hard for him to spell later, but you might could nickname him Elec. In the bible, Elimelec (spelled Elimelech) means "God is my King!"
