I think they are amazing and some of my favorite movies are from the 80's...

I love the 80's. Best music, definately.
Maybe the movies are more popular because although you have Die Hard, Terminator+, etc they generally didn't get you down. The good guys always won in the end. Plus the box office pull wasn't so much sex and gore. Just a few ideas.

The movies from the 80's are just so campy and fun,that was a great era,the story telling in alot of those movies was just so captivating,and the horror movies were also made well the special effects and makeup seemed more real,,,not like the computer effects that are used today,that just look so fake!!

As a lot of ppl know, it was a great time to be growing up and they made movies about real problems that were going on....personal, school issues and people going out having a super time, for instance one of my favorite movies from the 80's is FOOTLOOSE, and IRON EAGLE.

80's movies are great.I think its really cool to see a movie with a now famous actor that wasnt famous at the time.

because those of us who grew up in the 80's are missing our younger days and want to relive it. Watching those movies helps us relive a time when we were young and carefree.

They just don't make movies like they used to. Those movies are awesome. You can't compare them to any movies from now, just not the same.
