I fell pergnant after a one night stand. The father of my baby at the time was with my best friend and has recently admited that I was not the first time he cheated on her, he had at least 6 other times before me. I am not the first one he got pregnant either, but the other girl had an abortion.
How can I trust he wont do the same to me? He says it's different and after the last time he really regrets not having his baby and wants to be a family this time. I want to do whats right for the baby, he can be nice and until all this came out I thought my friend was a lucky girl to be with him.

rule of thumb~ if you question him...then do not get with him
(listen to your gut first...loins last) what's best for you is what's best for the baby

The baby needs a stable father who will really be there for it. If he cheated before, he's likely to cheat again. But people sometimes change. I would give him the chance if thats what YOU want, but first sign of any foul play I'd kick him to the curb. Good luck!

You can't trust him. It's that simple.
He may even believe himself when he says that he wants to change, but it will only be a matter of time before he starts 'working late', receiving mysterious phone calls etc...
You can never really be free from suspicion in a situation like this, and if you can't trust somebody 100%, do you really want to risk investing your time and emotions in a relationship that could crumble at any time?

you hit the nail on the head when you asked "how do I know he won't do the same to me" Obviously this guy can't commit to a serious relationship. He can talk the talk, but experience has proved he is a habitual cheater.
If you are REALLY interested in trying to make it work, tell him you will give him a trial run if he will agree to some couples counseling to deal with his infidelity. That should tell you how serious he really is about making things work.

Ok, you thought your BEST friend was a lucky girl to be with him?? But YOU are pregnant with his kid, after a one night stand? I don't even care about your question at this point, how did you let that happen? You must have lost your best friend at this point.

I agree with the first answer. Just because he wants you all to be a family isn't a good enough reason. Don't be in a relationship with him because you want your baby to have a dad. With or without him, your baby will have a dad.

Dont do what you feel is right for the baby. Do what you feel is right for you! You dont wanna be stuck in a crappy relationship where he is cheating on you all the time, just for the baby. A happy mum makes for a happy baby.

well just follow your heart maybe you could take him to baby class and see how he reacts to you and the baby and the surrounding women around him!!!How old are you !!!if your friends mad at you i wouldn't,but she dosent know how hard it would be if s(he didn't have a father!!!
