I got myn a year ago and yes its crappy and all, but its not that bad. I rarely ever have cramps I just get a little cranky. While it really annoying and all you have to remember not to be embarrassed about it. At first I wouldn't chamge my pad unless there was no one else in the bathrooms at school and then I was like who cares EVERY girl gets it! And plus I was kinda relieved when I got myn, cuz once you have it out of the way there are not many other suprises when it come to puberty. If you have any Questions feel free to email me @

If you've read the answers these others have provided you, you probably never ever want to get it now. So I have a way you can avoid it for at least a little while. First, become active. And I mean really active, like two to three hours a day of hard core sports. Second, cut down what you eat. Avoid fats at all costs. Set yourself a calorie limit, like say 1000 calories. Only eat when you're straving and go for low fat or fat free foods. I found it helpful to keep a small notebook handy and write down every food I ate, the number of calories and grams of fat it had. Trust me, this works.

Pretty sh*tty. It can be very painful for some women. I get mild cramps on my first day which is relieved with Nurofen or Feminax. I also get bloating, sore boobs, cravings and mood swings. I often feel dirty, would never imagine having sex on my period and, frankly, can't wait to go through the menopause.

it is like that family member that you hate that visits every year. but in this case this family member comes every month in most cases (like mine). i usually gets cramps about two weeks before and then they go away until a couple days before the start of my period. i get bloated, constipated, and sometimes real bad headaches. their is over the counter meds for it. then once it comes you running to the bathroom every hour to make sure you don't have a stain on your pants and praying no one can smell you. it sucks consider yourself lucky. but it is the price of being a woman. don't be scared when it comes.

it sucks to have to deal with it each month but for some it can be painful others it's nothing. Each one is different and it keeps on changing through your life, like after each child birth.
Ask Mom- chances are you'll inherit the same kind of symptoms as she has. She'll be the best ally

Well let's just say there is a reason they call it "the curse".

Is there a woman on this planet who has anything GOOD to say about getting their period? If so you must be insane.

Well, you are a little afraid you smell bad or someone else notices or the sanitary pad moves, or that your clothes get stained...

Not the big deal.
