I have started a new job in reception, I've been here 2 months and am busting my butt trying to do well. My boss asked me to order limestone to go to a certain place pretty average stuff but I sent it to the wrong place, but the thing is i don't know how I did as my records say the right place. Now he is angry at me and I dont know how i could have done it, I feel so bad now, and i just dont know what to do. I dont want to be here now.

Stop beating yourself up over a mistake. We all make them now and then. If your boss didn't fire you over it right then, then your job is probably still safe.

Go to your boss and show him your records. Of course the limestone company won't admit that they made the mistake, but you can show him that it may not have been your fault. Apologize and assure him that you will be sure to double check things like that in the future. Good luck.

Show your boss your records.

It might well not have been your fault.

If he has lost interest then bring it up at your next performance appraisal.

Or you could leave, if you really hate it: there's not much point in suffering at work.
