Well, my answer is rather biased...being a teacher...although I have to admit that doctors do initially go through more rigorous training than a teacher and getting that degree is more expensive...to remain objective, doctors and teacher should be paid about the same...but I have to agree with what was said above, based on the number of hours a teacher sees a student versus the number of hours a doctor sees a patient...the teacher should...

Now if you had asked who should be paid more, a Lawyer or a Teacher...hehe, that's easy...Teacher.

I believe Teachers should make the most money. They are working with the same 17 individuals for a 10 month period. If you were to break down how many hours they spend with these 17 individuals over 10 months and figure out their hourly rate, it would be ridiculous. Any way, they are the ones teaching the children who then become doctors. Doctors should be paid by their specialty and how many patients they take on. They have the possibility of keeping these same patients for 10 plus years.

Doctors, I know you want me to say teachers but a Doctor saves lives, and years of studying, then when they go into practice, everything costs so much,,,same with a dentist the equipment is very high....

What came first? The doctor or the teacher who taught them?

SHOULD? Teachers. ABSOLUTELY no doubt about it, they should be the highest paid persons on the planet...and no, I'm not a teacher. Just appreciative.

People pay doctors a lot out of fear.
