Love can be more intense because it is forever. Lust is a short term thing.

Depending on your feeling and the person, both can be pretty intense sometimes. But love is rather more intense because their is more emotions and time invested.

Love because it affects you emotionally and affects the way that you feel about a person. Lust only affects you physically and makes you feel good for short amount of time.
