What came first the chicken or the egg? Who makes who better the QB or the recievers? Its basically the same old question. There is no doubt that Marvin and Reggie and even the TE's have made Manning a better QB simply because they catch everything thrown their way. Bottom line is the QB will always take the majority of the credit for an offense's success. But I'd take either Reggie or Marvin any day of the week for my team.

Well first off everyone knows that Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are insanely good receivers and they are given a good amount of credit. But as one wise sports guy once said: the quarterback is given too much blame for when his team loses and too much credit when his team wins.

Get these Brady fanatics out of hear with your sob stories, jeez what a bunch of cry babies. And what a dumb question, you don't think Manning's receivers get credit? Last year all 3 starting WR's were making $4Million+ and Harrison and been to what 7 Pro-Bowls and Wayne 2 now. Maybe the O-Line didn't get its due until recently, but the receivers always have. Btw, its a team game if you dudes didn't forget already.

dude i hate when that happens, I have patriots in my blood, people claims they give brady too much credit... hey when was the last time brady had two great targets like wayne and harrison? how about never. He never had a go to guy really, troy brown in 2001, and he's getting old, but he was great back then, and deion branch is gone. I think most qbs are made by their wr core, like peyton manning who is good because he always had marvin harrison, but brady never had a guy like that. I mean yeah he did have troy brown, and deion branch the never couple of season. But when brady has good enough recievers to have two 1000 yard recievers, when he has only had 1 (troy brown in 2001), then it'll show th better qb. Brady never had a go to guy(s) and doesn't need one, unlike manning who lives off his recievers, and gets credit where it's not due, brady deserves the credit along with the other patriots, but manning isn't as good as brady. I remind you has to stats because of his wrs, he will never have that pocket pressence or coolness like brady no matter who his recievers are.
Brady is and will always be better

i agree totally that wayne and harrison are probally the best duo in football right now , they make him better for sure ,but manning makes great decisions with the ball and audibles to the right play most of the time so i think the way he studies the game gets him so much credit for what hes done, but i belive manning and anyone who watches football knows having those 2 guys will make anyone stats soar

WOW, SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME!! Peyton Manning's constant success if because he has been setup every single year with amazing wide receivers and a great offensive line. If you have that many options and so much time to throw the ball, its not hard to be good. I don't think Peyton Manning is a bad QB, I still think he is a good QB but he gets way too much credit for what other QBs could do if they were setup like him.

your an idiot, the starter of this thread... That's the reason everyone is saying that Peyton Manning ain't the best because of his recievers. Everyone now-a-days gives the credit to his recievers or a lot of it.. Marvin Harrison and Wayne made Petyon good but peyton made them better. the trio just have real good chemistry it's not that the recievers bailed out manning but they both work together really well.

Marvin Harrison made manning. Brady has had no true team and has still won 3 superbowls. Manning has had an AWSOME supporting cast, and has only won one.

Because he is the Golden boy of the NFL. He is good but his supporting cast makes him what he is.
