Last night we had an arguement. My wife is not very good at opening up or expressing herself very well. However, when I express something she says the same exact thing I say. Then, she says something else 10 minutes later that contradicts it. I don't understand what goes through her mind. Why is she so closed to herself. Her friends have expressed to her that she is very closed to herself and wishes that she would be more open with them.

The answer....that i give you...your simply not going to like.
Some women do NOT have the ability to open up. It sounds like she is trying...to open up and explain her problems..but the real answer is that she WILL NOT change. Your values on this are gonna stay on completely opposite ends...and it makes for a BAD relationship. I'd say after 2-3 years of marriage..youll no longer be married. Time to get back into the dating game to find what your actually looking for OR give up your own values and never ask her any questions.

This answer...is only...for if shes closeminded to you AND her friends. If shes closeminded to you...there could be another reason.

As a woman I'm going to give you my point of view. I normally have to problem expressing what I think and feel. But many times when I do be it people that know me or family it bothers them. So since I'm not accepted as myself I can be very cold. If in the past when she has been herself expressed her thoughts ideas feelings and she wasn't accepted. That right there is the reason why. I know because I do it.

Aha. How was her upbringing. Could she have been abused in any way. Are you overbearing. Who starts the arguments? Is it because she isn't engaged. If you are starting dumb arguments with your wife, shame on you. She needs therapy, you need to remember your wedding vows.
