Ed Reed. Dawkins is good, but inconsistent. That thug on the Cowboys has poor instincts and he's very overrated.

If Roy Williams could cover anyone out of the backfield he would be the best especially with his jaw dropping hits. But i don't think he could cover a 350 lb. lineman. I say Ed Reed handsdown.

I'd say it's Troy Polamalu. He's the best blitzing safety in the league and can cover anyone from TE's to WR's to RB's. He's always in the right place at the right time. He covers the entire field. Plus, he's probably one of the classiest players in the NFL, right behind LaDanian Tomlinson.

Ed Reed, shows up every night, and can play the backfield, or blitz.
