Because she was a very young girl living in horrible circumstances who never lost hope and who was wise beyond her young years. Pax - C.

Anne Frank was an interesting character primarily because she was a real person living in a real event telling the truth about what actually happened. Nothing she says is fabricated and it truly reveals the horrors that the Holocaust and WWII created.

She had a very interesting way of writing at such a young age . Anne described her terrible life living in hiding during the Holocaust with such visual information.

ann frank is such an interesting character she is a real girl and is like every other girl teenager at that time despite her problems with the holocaust. she like celebrities of that time even and was ubnwillingly trapped in the apartment place to hide. the worst part is that she eventually died. her father was the only one in her family that survived somehow.

I am acually reading the book right now and I think Anne is such an interesting character because she was in hiding for so long. 25 months!

She was a true witness to history, in a very strange situation.
She left a personal, written record of her individual feelings and thoughts.
She was hunted down by a government program which equated her and her relatives to vermin, not human beings.
So, when we read her words we learn a lot of lessons---first, how important words acutally are, and written history is.

But we also learn about reality, and hopefully, do not deny reality in our own lives. Anne Frank and the people in the attic with her died (only her father survived the death camps) because they stayed in Europe and didn't understand their lives were more important than anything else. Sometimes, to survive, you must quickly change your ideas and assumptions about what might happen to you.

i have read that diary of anne frank , but i never thought her character as intersting. but rather, the whole staory. I founmd that the whole story as interesting , because it showed me life back then. Also because iit is a realt story, it showed the fear of the family when they were in the atic.

She isn't a "character" - she was a person. It is interesting to read her story because she was so full of hope in a time and place when it would have been so easy to be angry and depressed. Through her words people now have a first-hand account of what it was like to be in hiding in that time and can personalize the experience and never let it happen again.

I think it's because she was real. It's amazing to see that someone actually went through that. And you think in the back of your head while reading it, it was just her, it was the millions of others that the Nazi death camps killed too. Germany actually banned the book because it's controversy against the government.
